As part of a joint program with students from the Indonesia Surabaya Polytechnic (PENS), we conducted a demonstration experiment on river, coastal, and forest environmental monitoring in Asia-Pacific coastal cities, along with fieldwork involving the installation of marine plastic waste collection devices.

On February 27–28, 2025, cleanup activities and AI-based evaluation experiments were carried out at major sites in Surabaya, including Surobojo Bridge and the mangrove conservation area of Mangrove Wonorejo.

From March 1–4, 2025, we conducted a marine waste sorting workshop with Sungai Watch, an international NGO based in Bali, as well as a joint mangrove cleanup and tree-planting workshop in collaboration with WasteHub.

Furthermore, on March 5, we visited Bali State Polytechnic (PNB); on March 6, Surabaya Polytechnic (PENS); and on March 7, Malang State Polytechnic (Polinema) and Universitas Brawijaya (UB). During these visits, we engaged in discussions and planning for the establishment of MOUs with Musashino University, the promotion of double-degree programs with the Faculty of Global Data Science, and the coordination of credit transfer curricula.
