Musashino University’s Faculty of Data Science, Graduate School of Data Science, and Asia AI Institute, and Faculty of International Data Science (Distance Learning Division) all share the mission of developing professionals who lead creative activities in problem identification, problem-solving, and value creation utilizing artificial intelligence and big data analysis.
The Faculty of Data Science in Musashino University cultivates professionals who utilize knowledge and techniques of data science across diverse fields addressing natural and social environments. We develop leaders with broad social and international perspectives who discover challenges and lead creative activities that generate technical and economic value through artificial intelligence and big data analysis. Our graduates possess global viewpoints, applying data science to identify worldwide issues and create innovative solutions through international creative activities. In our increasingly complex social environment, we nurture talent that leads creative initiatives for technical and economic value creation through data science expertise.
Our faculty has established the Asia AI Institute focused on international and industry-academia collaboration, with all faculty members participating. The institute promotes groundbreaking research based on the revolutionary concept of "incorporating human activities into system architecture." Students gain significant advantages by joining this institute and experiencing cutting-edge research firsthand (participation is available both remotely and in-person).
Our faculty and the Asia AI Institute share six core data science skills: 1) Python programming, 2) Creating and utilizing AI applications, 3) Knowledge base design (SQL), 4) Generative AI utilization techniques, 5) Evaluation metrics, and 6) AI dataset creation. We widely present research findings obtained through these skills on international platforms.
