【International Data Science Department】Mock Lecture (Reservation Required)
Experience classes from the International Data Science Department (Distance Learning), Data Science Program, which will open in April 2026 (under planning). Taught by Associate Professor Yusuke Takahashi. ※Please enter the room at least 5 minutes before the start time. The content of Sessions 1 and 2 is basically the same.

Why HAPPY DATA HOUR?
When I (Takahashi) was in Silicon Valley, I regularly participated in "HAPPY DATA HOUR" events in San Francisco. Data scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers, and VCs would gather to casually exchange information over 🍕 and 🍺.
These events went beyond mere networking to foster Silicon Valley's unique culture of "openly learning and helping each other." Even meeting for the first time, people would consult on technical challenges, share job information, and seek feedback on new products. This cultural foundation is why Silicon Valley continues to be the holy land of innovation. The connections I made there greatly influenced my subsequent career and business ventures.
MIDS aims to create a new ecosystem centered on data science × international collaboration × industry-academia collaboration, not just a department. Now, before the department is established, we want to nurture a community that will become the cultural foundation. This is the spirit behind HAPPY DATA HOUR.
Target Participants
Non-applicants are also very welcome!
High school students, university students, working professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, corporate representatives - anyone interested in data science and AI. Just like Silicon Valley's HAPPY DATA HOUR, encounters with people from diverse backgrounds create the most value.

The International Data Science Department (Distance Learning) at Musashino University is a new department centered on data science × international collaboration × industry-academia collaboration. We provide an educational environment accessible from anywhere in the world through primarily online learning.
